Meet your host

LEONORE OKWARA

I like to think of the Public Health Culture podcast as professional development for not only my listeners, but myself.

Over the years, I’ve had tunnel vision and had only focused on what I was doing in the present moment, but not what was happening in the public health field, collectively.

When I started my podcast, there weren’t many out there that focused on the field, so I knew this platform was necessary to provide information to other aspiring and current public health professionals.

The first episode of the podcast was released in February 2019 and has evolved over time. Today it is focused on social determinants of health, health disparities, health equity, research, and how to manage it all.

I am thrilled that it has become a platform that allows me to share public health concerns and initiatives with so many people.
